I thought Thor was really solid too, 9/10 as well, way better than the first, loved the dark tone of the movie and it had quite a bit of good humor. Awesome tie in during the credits as well, fucking Benicio Del Toro

That's cause it was originally a made for TV mini-series and if you enjoyed that much,
I highly recommend you read the novel (if you haven't already.) It's sooooo much better.

I know it was a TV miniseries. I watched it in the original four parts. One part a day for four days. And we do have the book, but MY GOD does it look long. I'm not sure if it's the original book, or the revised version from the 1990's.
5/10
Universal Soldier (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – It’s not bad in that cheesy action movie sort of way, but if you’re looking for some depth, you’re going to want to steer well clear of this. I personally think that when Emmerich focuses on the disaster flicks he’s at his best. Some of the humor in the last half is pretty good (the supermarket scene and the dinner scene), but it’s not something I’m likely to watch again.
5/10
The Bling Ring (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – much like Spring Breakers, this is a movie about some teens doing some pretty rough stuff. As was the case with SB, I found the characters to be painfully obnoxious and too little focus on any character development or a good story. There will be people who like this, but it didn’t do much for me.
4/10
The Hangover (Blu-ray, 4th viewing) – If you follow my reviews, you’ve probably noticed I’m not too big on comedies for the most part. This is definitely one of my favorites to come out in recent memory. I think it was pretty original when it came out, and I think the main characters complement one another well. He really only has one shtick that he uses, but Galifianakis is really funny in this, more so than the other stuff he’s been in. It’s funny how a guy can be around for some time, but then one movie just launches his career. I think it happened for Galifianakis and Cooper, and possibly Ed Helms to a lesser extent, and who can forget Ken Jeong.
7/10
The Hangover, Part II (Blu-ray, 2nd viewing) – I haven’t seen Part III, but from what I’ve heard, trying something new didn’t exactly yield the results they were looking for. With Part II, they basically did the whole movie over again, but in a different setting. It has a few laughs, but isn’t on par with the original.
4.5/10
The Sixth Sense (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – I’ve been pretty forgiving with most of his later work, but I had never seen Shyamalan’s masterpiece. Seeing it roughly 14 years after is release, I was well aware of the big “twist”, but even still, it’s a good thriller. The acting is really solid, and it’s an original idea. His movies may disappoint some people (especially the later releases), but at least he has some original thoughts with the stories.
