The rap genre is not lame. Rappers tend to make rap seem lame but rap is not lame.

Its because of people who can't separate rap and hip hop, and most hip hop is lame. Its kinda like the "a dolphin is a whale, but a whale isn't a dolphin" thing. Rap is hip hip, but hip hop isn't rap.
