i personally think's it is music. Well yeah its supposedly a guy just talking. \Well he has to rhyme and have good flow. So just because they dont play instruments its not music. rap is music i think, buts whats your opinons on rap is it music

well i like some hip-hop/pop, because thats some of todays music (turn my swag on, bartender, etc) but of course there's some i hate (just dance, crank that (except crank that yank, its ok, the others are ghey), etc) rap is def music tho. not everyone can do it. almost everyone can sing (or try to) but you tell them to rap, its a whole diff. story

I don't know, I do believe that rap is music, but the people that are in the game now.....are not musicians. Don't get me wrong, they're are some artist out there that are the real deal, but what I'm getting at is the old school....now THAT was music.
Back when you had Biggie and Pac, the fugees were together, LL Cool J when he first came out, Heavy D, Digital Underground, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, NWA
But now we have Soldier Boy, Rich Boy, the jokers who created party like a rockstar (forgive me because their name escapes me) and now that I'm trying to name people I can't remember their names.

kidd, soulja boy and them arent rap. theyre hip-hop/pop. they arent classified as rap. or well, not by alot of peoples standards anyway. rap isnt listened to by alot of people (by alot of people i mean alot of the younger generation, but then again ive only really seen alot of the younger generation in ga, so that may just be because almost everyone is atleast a little black) so its hip-hop/pop here.
