I am in love with the multiplayer, matchmaking was a much needed addition, I honestly dont think you should get to choose what map and mode you play on for puiblic matches, becuase they are... well ranked. Your rank should be based on how good you are at the game as a whole not just on one gametype or map. If you wanna play a certain mode or map play private and invite some of your freinds.
Loving the game so far, ranked 4976th in the world and climbing!
But the purpose of a public match is for it to be for the PUBLIC not for the hardcore dedicated players, sure they have private matches but thats no fun if you have no friends online, some people just want to meet up with a bunch of new people and stick with them.
As for the shotgun, i do agree with you with the run and gun bs and how it takes more skill, but the fact of the matter is, the lancer is the dominating weapon and everyone is using it.
Personally i think there should be a seperate playlist for ranked and for public just like gears 1, BUT still with the matchmaking system.

Public is just a name, if your gonna get mad at anything get mad about the name, not what it is, Public is Ranked. So in Ranked matches you have to play random maps and gametypes so they can get a more accurate reading of your skill.
Yes I agree they should have unranked matchmaking, but they don't as of yet, just don't say the matchmaking is stupid becuase its only ranked right now, becuase matchmaking is what makes this game great this time around, no more waiting for 30 min for a full room, or telling your buddies the game type, number of rounds, map, and round duration just so they can find your room. It is a big step in the right direction.

I have the game, and I just wanna play the co-op campaign and Horde mode, that's all. If ya'll see me, hit me up...(when I'm not working, that is)

ive had that happen before, i think it was either submission or annex (prolly submission)
i was on canals, and chaps (he happened to be the meatshield) shotty-downed me, and whilst trying to crawl away i got sniped by a random bot (even on casual they arent half bad using weapons O-o) and i never respawned. needless to say, 2 teams of full-casual-bots was no fun, so i ended up going back to the lobby after like 10 minutes of waiting for it to end...

Its more fun to just blast 'em with a shotgun. I wasted too much ammo doing that.

yea...you did...
you were all "holy cow look at those bugs!" and just went over and started shotgunning....and i stole like one bug kill via squishing...then they randomly froze, so im running around looking down at the green come up and youre shotgunning away
btw meg, theyre blue-ish. like, its a light blue i guess? either way, the splash they make when stepped upon is pretty awesome

I don't know if any of you guys noticed, but im pretty sure they fixed the matchmaking, me and 2 freinds were playing yesterday and it only took at the most 20 seconds to find 2 more partners and a match.
