Gears of War 2

Let the discussion and hype begin!

IGN and TeamXbox have reviewed Gears 2, IGN gave it a 9.5 and TeamXbox gave it a 9.8. Two good reviews so far, I'm a little concerned about the multiplayer after reading the IGN review though, it said there were some bugs and that host advantage (while not as bad) was still in the game. They said the story was amazing, although the final boss was a joke. The campaign is also 2 or 3 hours longer this time around.

He also went on to say that Horde mode could possibly be the best part of the game, saying that he invested 10 hours into it and only made it to wave 41.... on casual...

Needless to say I am super pumped for this game! Friday can't come fast enough!

no, thats bs. cliff clearly stated no more host advantage and a semi-nerfed shotty....the shotty annoyed him, and he got too many complaints about being host...im like 50% sure on the host, but im like 90% sure on the shotty :yes:

Your right the Shotty has been "nerfed" to prevent those roll then shoot people from doing that annoying crap. but sadly, and this is a BIG sadly, host advantage is still there, its just been reduced.

yea. cliff got mad at one dude for doing that shotty crap. so he was all "k, gears 2, no more shotty...were nerfin it" so i guess theyre nerfin the host a bit...i knew they wouldnt keep the same.

i lvoe the new features tho! new executions, curb stomp, meat shield, new gameplays/type, new campaign mode (4 modes now, one is like less then casual, or its casual then normal, idk) horde, 5v5, and all that stuff....its gon be awesome!

The host adavantage not being fixed in Gears 2 is in-excusable IMO. People have bitched about it from day one, and when you have games out there like Halo and Call of Duty that have no host advantage with 8 on 8 there is no excuse for not fixing it.

If you guys wanna see something funny... the guys over at ps3fanboy thought it would be funny if all of them gave gears a bad review on metacritic, check out the user rating, MetaCritic.

Damn PS3 Fanboys....

We should all give Resistance 2 a bad review!

Hahahaha!!!! (Pawnage) I don't care what they did or didn't do to the shotty as I never use it anyway.

I want Horde mode and I want it now. I'm going to the midnight launch and I took a personal day for friday. So I'm going to go non stop for like 36hrs if I can....or longer!!!!
