The good health boost shields are the best. My shield is 1440, I dont remember the recharge rate. And it has "slow health regeneration"
Its not the best shield in the world but i like it for the health regen. Especially on the second playthrough.

When you first get access to Trash Coast follow the path around to the Rack Hive. Trigger the cut scene were the Rack Hive comes out of the ground but do not fight him or her. (what a face one that thing) Turn around and go back the way you came and there should be a teleport station there. Teleport back to New Haven turn to your left and walk towards where the ammo and weapon machines are located. There will be a small ally that leads to behind the buildings. Turn right and there will be a small Blue building that is right behind the building that has a weapon case on top of it. Just walk up to the door and it will slide open and when you enter a lift will take you down. You must jump off the lift at the bottom. There will be 3 to 5 freaks down there in a room with almost no cover so be ready for a fight. After you kill them have fun plundering the room.
Here is a Tip for rare weapons and money.
There is 4 weapon cases in new Haven. Hit all 4 then go down the lift and hit those two. Quit out of the game and then reload and do it all over again. Just sell what you don't want. This will work even in a party just make sure everyone quits out before the host does. Then just reload the Save and send invites just as if you are continuing the game. Have Fun!!!

i can't seem the find the video, but there's a secret weapon case off the map that supposedly has a higher chance of spawning rare items. i've checked it 5 or 6 times now and no luck, but it always has stuff that's worth a good amount at least.
problem is you have to die or save out after you get it. no way back up.

Finally got to finish my second play through with my buddies, now all the enemies are between 48 and 52, the vending machines and chests only have level 48 and above items now (however, I still haven't found anything great). For those of you that don't know there is no 3rd play through.

I finished my 1st playthrough last night. Level 36 soldier. I was able to find some good people online to plow through the rest of the missions I had left. Sadly, this game is gonna get put on the shelf for a while before I get to play my second playthrough due to MW2 coming out tomorrow night.
