With the three red lights you qualify for Microsofts extended three-year warranty. Call the customer service line and they will walk you througha few things and then send you a box to ship it in.

i just got the box i sent my core in with. and they didnt fix it instead they just replaced it and gave me 1 month free of xbl gold. i shoulda told them i only accept microsoft points.

you are lucky then. when my box was replaced after the 3 red light problem, they sent me another broken box - it STILL had the 3 red lights (does microsoft even test the repairs??) I ended up having to send my box back to microsoft yet again for a working one. They apologized and offered free Kameo, I jus laughed at the person on the phone, I had been without a box for 2 months and they wanted to give me the worst piece of #$@* game they could think of.
