3 red lights nooo

well today is a sad day for me, I got the 3 red lights on my 360. So im sending it in:( will see you guys on xbox live in about 3 weeks

well good news i just turned the 360 on after a hour brake and now it works. yes!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope all continues to be well and it was just a momentary fluke. I've had boot problems with my original Xbox and had it work upon reboots; luckily none with my 360 *knocks on wood*...

Just out of curiousity, where is the power supply for it at? I have mine on tile in front of my fireplace after hearing the if I suspend the power supply, it will allow for enough airflow. I may just be paranoid keep it on the cool tile after reading these stories. May still want to give Xbox support a call to see what they say. Was it on for quite a while? Sorry to prod, just want to see if this may be the cause. I hope it doesn't occur for you again, however if it does see if the power supply may be extremely hot. Also read someone having the 3 red light error and reseated the video connection to the 360.

my power supply and 360 is on the carpet beside my t.v. and when it broke i was only playing for like 1 hour. I dont know how it started working again i just tried 3 hours later and it was working.

Wierd man. I would say just a overheating problem, which a lot of people are having, but for an hour...wierd.
Hopefully nothing else happens, but like someone else said, call Microsoft if you want, it might be a good idear.

A week, ha! I would hope for maybe 2 weeks! Maybe a week and a half if you get lucky...I am hoping mine comes in the next month based on what others are complaining about!

Thanks, well I just got off the phone with the Xbox people. So the call went ok but the guy I was talking to had to say every thing twice because it was so hard to here him :D well there sending me a empty box, for me to send my Xbox in. Well I hope I dont have to wait long.

yes thy did tell me to send HD but im still waiting for the box to send it in :( 2 weeks and still no box :(

Since I bought my xbox at Best Buy, I also got the extended warrentary...I didnt want to mess with Microsoft and getting a refurbished unit, so my ultimate plan if my 360 breaks is to take it in...and keep the hard drive and contoller in my pocket. If they asked, then I would give them up, but if not, then I'd have 2 contollers and 2 HDDs! I'll hafta be sure to look for someone at customer service that doesnt know anything about video games, too.
