To be honest, I very much doubt the validity of this. To start with, Moronic cow doesn't get any insider info- he's a 23 year old TA member. I'm not sure what he means.
No other news source is even reporting a whisper of this, after all the leaks that exist. Not one. So that seems weird to me.
But take the news at face value- if such a thing existed, it would not come with the new console. There would be a subscription fee for the 3G just like iPads and kindles and surfaces and whatever else uses cell connections. Set aside the fact that 3G is now clunky and slow and outdated, just look at Verizon's track record.
Verizon no longer offers unlimited data plans. To those who have them from being grandfathered in, they are throttled at 2 gb. Verizon is like the stingy old grandfather who hides the good candy when his grand kids come over- they aren't going to throw in any service without $ coming to them.
More than likely the whole thing has to do with the set top 360 they are planning to be a peripheral to the 720- since it requires internet, it would make sense to make it 3G compatible for people who don't have reliable Internet service.

Pfft I'm already using my Ouya on 5G and it's perfect, to hell with the "next gen" of consoles.

I asked the guys at the local GameStop about this and they said it's nothing but a mere rumor at the moment.

No, whether or not it's "Always On" Internet.
Hahahahhahaaaaa!!!!! You thought people at GameStop would have answers? They can't even tell you what games they have in stock most of the time!
@mudkip- it says:
See that? #xboxreveal.
It's a HASHTAG. They NEVER EVER lie or exaggerate!!

saw that earlier. Microsoft may have saved themselves a client.
