What grinds my gears - Professors that don't have kids and have no understanding of a commitment toward a family. I can't believe how much homework this moronic female has assigned.

Evol took online classes this semester because he couldn't commit to the schedule of going to class, and his teachers are all putting up homework every day. One teacher docked him 40% for doing his work all on one day instead of spreading it out over a few.
What the fuck is with these people????

Im going to Ashford University Online and we only have assignments due on Thursdays and Mondays. Discussions on Thursdays and a Paper each Monday along with responses to the Discussion questions. Dont have to deal with bs professors and crazy homework everything is the same each class and you know when its due. 4 classes away from my Bachelors

Yeah, I took online classes when I was in college and never had anything like this! In my experience, they mostly put up the assignments and open the quizzes and discussion boards on Sunday and close them Saturday at midnight. Since people in online classes are adults, the teachers let us schedule out time how we needed.
One more reason to hate UGA, apparently.
What's your major?

I would formerly complain to the school's dean making sure to mention family commitment and job workload and let's not forget taking time away from those things to get all of his work done.

Most parents are most likely like me. If you can walk you can get your ass to school. My kids would pull the sick card on any opportunity they could get to miss school and hang out at home all day, if I allowed it.

I am the same way. I can teach my kids that it's ok to whine and moan or I can teach them to deal with it. Which is take them further in life?

Interesting. I'd prefer kids be taught to think about other people. IE: if you're sick, have the common decency to not make everyone else sick. I choose battles over things in their control.

Im talking about pre school here there is a big difference. Same shit always happened in daycare these places are a germ and lice haven. But the parents rather take their kids to these places sick then miss a day or find someone in the family to watch them till they get better.

Yeah daycare is terrible for germs. School in general is bad. But any place with supervision at all won't let parents get away with sending kids in sick. If there are any symptoms, they (should) keep the kid separated and send them home whether the parents want to take the day off work ot not. A lot of times kids can be carriers without actually being sick, though, since you get immune to your own germs. When my youngest was born, he was in the NICU for a couple of weeks and the oldest boy wasn't allowed to visit because he was in school and could be carrying germs and we wouldn't know until a baby got sick from it.
If you're at a preschool where it seems like constant illnesses, it might just be a crappy place- they may not bleach the surfaces during the day and make kids wash their hands. When my oldest son started public school after being homeschooled, he was sick for months at a time. He had some super crummy hygiene, so he picked up every damn thing anyone else got.
