Way back in my day, when someone had chicken pox, doctors always recommended taking a bath in water that was about body temp and 2 cups of oatmeal. The oatmeal is supposed to get rid of the itching.

But thankfully that the steroid shot helped a lot. First time I didn't wake up through the night scratching. Except I did wake up every 3 hours to piss and drink a bottle of water. It's one of the side effects. Then again the list of side effects, that they don't tell you shit about at the hospital before you get the shot, would have changed my mine about getting it.

Oh and it's the first time I've ever had poison ivy. That's why when I got it, it was so bad. I thought I had it when I was a kid, but my mom said I never had it.
Vinegar and salt water is another "home" remedy, but it's about as painful as the bleach since you are supposed to scratch it open. Yes I've tried both, and it seems you have to catch it right away for either to actually work. From a medical perspective both are stupid.
As for the medical stuff I find "immunosuppression" funny since that is exactly what a steroid does. Inflammation and redness and itching is your body's response to an outside substance such as poison ivy, and taking a steroid is simply to stop your body's reaction. So yeah.
But as for the laundry list of things, that's normal, they have to list every possible side effect because everyone reacts differently to medications. One side effect for every medication I have seen is nausea & vomiting. Even for the medicines that are to treat nausea and vomiting, so I'm not sure how you would know that is a side effect from that medicine
Pretty much all medicine can be bad, but usually the benefits outweigh the risks. And lastly Benoit was on anabolic steroids, not the same stuff you get at the doctor. Same family of stuff, but very different
