some achievments seem impossible for me to get though.
like "saint" on dead rising.
some are just to easy to get like "pink mist" halo3
there should be some kind of leverage.
other games you pretty much just finish the game like COD2 veteran and ur done.

I just read all the pages of the forum and when i sit down and turn my 360 on the first thing i do is look at my games and say what game can i get some achievements in real quick...then i pick a game and play it for about an hour or 2 and if i get an achievement i go to a game like bioshock that is more of a longer game that you get achievements along the way more than you get them all at once...then when i get to the next level in bioshock i change games again...i always continue to change games unless i find an achievement that offers more than 20G then i will do my best to achieve that cause thats a moderate to high score to achieve for a single achievement unless your playing a game with only 5-10 achievements like King Kong and all the 2k6 sport games...but anyways achievements are what makes the 360 unique and thats why i strive to achieve the highest gamerscore out of all my games

I enjoy achievements for the sole purpose that some of them you really have to achieve. Getting all 200 in Boom Boom Rocket isn't necessarily a walk in the park, but it's totally worth it.
Some of them are also creative, which I really enjoy. The Orange Box is very good in that aspect. You get 2 points for the achievement entitled "Two Points", by scoring a basket using your gravity gun. That's pretty creative as far as most achievements go, and I like it.

I AGREE WITH PANTS AND WHITEY ACHIEVEMENTS MAKE PLAYING THE GAME WORTH IT. I LOVE THE POP AND LOVE TO SEE THE 1000 POINTS COMPLETE ON MY LIST. I WISH THERE WERE MORE GAMES WHERE YOU NEED TO PLAY THROUGH TO GET THE ACHIEVEMENT

Achievements that are solely based off beating the game are the definition of lazy. It's not an "achievement" to beat each level, it's an achievement to 5 star all songs on Guitar Hero. Developers need to stop being lazy.

well most new games are making achievements more challenging...and a developer doesnt make a game for the purpose of achievements but they do throw in achievements along the way that are part of the game

I really dont care about acheivments, I like them and yet I dont like them...... they can by extremely annoying when you get one in the middle of a game and you want to look at it right away, so you stop your game just to look at it
