It ultimately comes down to parents and no one else to know what their kids are watching and playing these days. It's lazy parents that buy whatever their kids shove in their faces and don't think twice about what it is, then they complain when the kid does something violent. That's the real problem, not the violence in games it's the ignorance/laziness of parents.

Yeah... that was it. That kid is gonna have nightmaressss... unless he's already desensitized... which is possible, because he also picked up GTA IV. Oddly, she didn't get warned about that one. I guess that tells you how bad Dead Space is?
i hope that child makes the parent regret the fuck out of that. that would make my day

Yuh man Dead Space 2 is the first game i've played that actually has children and babies as enemies, the whole mood of that game is extremely twisted.

Since a select few have totally misunderstood my post, let me rephrase the question...do u think video games are becoming too violent or going too far with some of the violence??
Again, I'm not against anything, I never said I didn't like the game..yes I have violent games but I am an adult..this post isn't a bash on violent games or anti-violent game post..it was a question to see what people thought on this subject

NO!
There are age restrictions for a reason. The violence is part of that reason. It is not the developers fault if parents ignore those restrictions and allow their children to play the games.
