Let's not get it twisted, BigPremature. The minimum donation was 25 and you graciously offered up a game worth just that. Everyone else threw in $30+ cash or donated an actual 60 dollar current game.

They are not retards. They are adults and should be handled like adults. I manage over 140 people. It's difficult, but you can never lose your cool. You must remain in control of your feelings and temper when you are in a prestigious position. Acting unprofessional in the manner that you are will cost you all respect that you have earned.

I have spent time with both Dan and Big and found them to be quite reasonable grown men. Had this been handled differently I strongly believe that this incident could have been prevented. Life could have ran a lot smoother in our small part of the internet world.

I'm... gonna go play Destiny. I feel like I got the $40 I put into this thread, but I would certainly like to see it get back on track.

I feel like (most) of this anger wouldn't have happened if Jared hadn't started something negative. I was in a World of Warcraft guild for a year and a half, during some of the most depressing periods I've experienced, and these people were a daily amazing. One day, a high-level guild-mate fucked everyone over, stole all the loot, and gold, that everyone donated. He locked out the guild, and we were all scattered. The core members formed a new guild, but it barely lasted a month, because of all the lost loot, and mistrust, it brewed.

That's around the time I decided to get a 360. ~early 2011. I hope we don't let one negative action, breed a cluster fuck of negative action. And that's all I have to say, about that

Everyone has said his/her piece in regards to the issue. Since many people can not actively help the situation and have simply resorted to name calling, I'm putting this out here. If you can't discuss this like adults, I'm handing out suspensions. Consider this everyone's warning.

To those acting like adults, thank you.

Since some may be unclear about what I consider acting like an adult, here it is in a nutshell: A productive post that is either related to the waffle order or a POLITE suggestion for improvement. Anything else = suspension.

Anyone wants to call anyone else a name simply because they don't like them, your suspension will be longer.

FWIW, since the situation is apparently out for public consumption, Daniel has ordered another copy of the Lego movie game and it is being sent to me, should get here by the end of the week. So hopefully that will clear up 1/2 that problem.

Also, just because I noticed this in a post last night but it didn't seem like the right time, for anyone wondering- the self service usps kiosks that are 24/7 let you put tracking on packages. It's all connected to the barcode on the stamp you print out. I'd recommend tracking for everything going forward, and just as a note- in GA they said tracking is free and automatic when you ship priority. YMMV, because only some clerks seemed to know that and do it without being prodded into it.

Hopefully you guys can get this back going smoothly- so many new games will be coming out in the future!!!

So, there were people who didn't like me when I ran it. People should be adults and accept that you don't have to like someone to follow the rules.

I'm not even remotely condoning AJ's responses to the situation, however no one else here has actually ran this thread before. The main reason I stopped was exactly these kind of situations. Games disappeared and no one could be held accountable, or people wouldn't ship when they say they would. Numerous times the tracking number was days after the person claimed they had shipped the game. Games were stolen, people didn't listen to my directions. Frankly it is a lot of work for no credit what so ever. And believe me I did not get any enjoyment out of the retired games being at my place.

AJ has every right to be frustrated. He should not have publicly berated anyone, but everyone else took that as an opportunity to jump all over him. If you don't like AJ or the way he runs the thread, leave it. Then you don't have to deal with him. If you don't like him as staff, report it to Jackson, if you don't like the response from Jackson feel free to leave the site.

This site and this thread can only be as good as you let it be. If you don't like someone be an adult and ignore them or avoid them. No one has the right to name call someone because "they started it."

I hope that Daniel can remain in the thread should the game be received. P, I know AJ has said some stuff to you that isn't right. However would it really be that bad for you to ship the game out? He made a mistake by not updating your information (something I have done myself) is it really worth all this headache over a trip to the post office and a few bucks?

For those who are wondering why I am posting in here, it is not because "I'm AJ's buddy." It's because this was getting out of hand, and had the potential to tank this thread. Kiz/DWG had recently contacted me about replacing some of the games from when he ran the thing, and I told him it would be better to purchase some games for this thread. He is supposed to be doing so in a few weeks and frankly I'd rather him not waste his money on something in turmoil.

Edit: And I have lots of better things to do than moderate, like play Destiny. Anyone want to play co-op?

FYI - This is not a statement about Daniel's situation, just my general opinion on shipping in any situation and it applies here too.

I'm with Kat, tracking is a MUST and should be required.

If you don't use tracking and the game goes missing, you're out until you replace the game.

Let's be honest here...if you don't use tracking and the game goes missing the immediate suspicion is that you didn't send anything at all. Whether you sent anything or not you're going to be judged that way.

So get tracking and then you don't have to worry about it. Also...it's not a state by state thing. If you ship USPS first class or priority the tracking is free. If they don't do it they're not following USPS regulations.
