Exactly. If there hadn't been a 4 month wait and then the release issues I would have been like "ehhh, not bad, it's clearly a set up episode preparing for the meat." But it took them 4 months to put out an hour's worth of playtime? Whatttt?
And as relieved as I was (and unsurprised) that Snow wasn't dead, that felt like such an untouched moment. Like it wasn't really well explained at first but Bigby got it right away so I was confused for a few minutes.
The whole thing was anticlimactic. I was disappointed that a lot of the scenes from the preview at the end of episode 1 weren't in episode 2. The Georgie scene was really really lame, and at the end, when there was finally stuff happening, the game was over.
All in all I only paid $15 total ($5 for the 1st ep and $10 for the season pass) and I'm kind of feeling like I might be feeling ripped off at the end of it.
Obviously Crane is a red herring... He may be sexing up snow clones but he's not going to end up being the murderer. They've spent too long making him look guilty lol. So idk.
Oh, and I interrogated Woody and Dee. 1 1/2 hours total to do both playthroughs. Eh. I'll be continuing with the Woody interrogation because it seems like that's obviously the direction they want you going in.

I'm late to the party. But I'm happy with it. For (some) reason, Microsoft gave me $6.65 of credit, so I ended up getting this episode free. Nobody mentioned this yet, so my thoughts about:
Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilerThe Little Mermaid being a hooker whose introduction is completely nude on a stripper pole... caught me off guard. She's not "Ariel" from Disney, but that flower in her hair, was exactly what Ariel wore in the movie- that's not lost on me. Personally I'm glad they did the Snow twist. The fact that it was a troll, explains the world better, racial inequality. I'm digging it. Yes, it's an hour+ of content, but how much do you spend on a movie lately (in a theatre)? Random thought: since they're veering Disney... we may see a Wolf vs Beast (Beauty & the Beast) fight later on. I'm engaged.

I'm guessing that Nerissa is from Nereis, which means sea nymph or sea goddess. The original was never named, I believe, so that makes sense. Her backstory is definitely Hans Christian Anderson, but physically I think they were giving a nod to Ariel with slightly red hair and the flower. But yeah she's not Ariel. None of these are Disney versions.
Found a discussion about the game in which a feminazi came in and started ripping it up for only victimizing women, and then brought up "OMG EVERYONE IS WHITE, GUIZE." At that point conversations devolve, and no discussion can be had, I think... Really wrecked a good discussion. :/

They obviously can't show the Disney versions in-game. So they do the next best thing and keep it ambiguous.

Ehhhh...
I don't really see any ambiguity. Her hair is barely reddish and her eyes aren't blue... It's pretty obviously not Disney based.
