So i'm about a couple hours in. Pretty creepy game, but i've got some complaints.
1) I CANNOT tell where i'm supposed to be going half the time. There are all these buildings with shit in them and i want ALL the shit. So i spend 15 mins covering building by building hoping to find something new that leads me in the right direction and normally, i die and have to start all over and reclaim my shit. I've died a bunch.
2)This game feels insanely clunky. everything from walking, running, getting over obstacles, opening doors, it all feels clunky.
3) My biggest complaint is the hospital "safe zone" sequences, which are a bunch of bullshit. It takes me right out of the game. Why can't i have save stations on the map? why do i have to come here to save? Why can't i find mirrors to access this place half the time? Why do i have to come here to upgrade? Im sitting on (literally) 19700 green goop stuff and im dying to spend it, but in the last 30-45 minutes not one mirror to help. Why can't they just have added benches? That would have fixed everything. why why why why why why why.
4) i see framerate dips a lot and textures sometimes take up to 5 seconds to actually load in a cutscene. it goes from booty to beauty, but takes forever.
Maybe i was just hoping for something more RE4, and im comparing it too much. It's fun, but really hard and tedious. Other than that, they hit the atmosphere perfectly. I am creeped out the majority of the time, especially when hearing noises and seeing nothing. The enemies are overly powerful which adds a feeling of helplessness and makes you want to do encounters all the less. Ammo is practically non-existent. Yup, good ol' fashion survival horror.
