I finished Minerva's Den DLC for Bioshock 2 which was a really interesting stand alone addition to the storyline. I immediately started the Protector Trials DLC and it sux.

This is true. You bring in an open game, they send you out with an open game, receipt or not.
Side note, an unopened game with no receipt is useless anyway. No stores take returns on games without receipts, and GameStop won't take them back or even take them as a trade in- and if you open it in front of them, they still can't buy it. Crazy ass rules. I lose receipts frequently, so I've gotten stuck with games I ended up not wanting before I even opened them.
