I'm so frustrated with my school! They require an internship. Evol and I set up a thing with our town's baseball board that I can run the social media accounts as the internship. Got it approved by the department head, but when I turn in the paperwork, they won't approve it because my supervisor would have the same last name as me. He wants to know if there's someone else that can supervise. Because- you know- tons of people who volunteer for something want to spend 5-10 hours a week unrelated curriculum planning for someone else as well. Not to mention the fact that we can't even get these people to show up once a month for meetings. I don't want them in charge of my grade! So now I have no internship and classes start Monday. For my last semester. And when I'm done, I'm out of financial aid eligibility so even if I wanted to push graduation back a semester and find another internship, I have to pay out of my own pocket. I'm so frustrated, I could cry. At this point, I think my only option is dropping my classes and not being able to graduate until spring 2020, which is the next time they will offer one of the classes I need.

...and in doing so you would have to reapply to the same school and go through that whole ordeal - been there - so you can graduate. I am sorry you are in this position and all of this revolves around one person's opinion. All that admin person had to say was "is there anyone else there who could be your supervisor?" and you would have been in the clear. I am certain you could have come up with someone else to help out.
I have come to the conclusion that I have enough information and skill in the 3D market to go on by myself. I quit school, basically. I have decided I have had enough of the "jump through hoops" and dealing with "ego trippers", um, I mean professors. I have been self employed so long that's all I know how to do so I am going to create my own job and my own business in 3D.
