I would request a copy and send to your attorney. Custody law does not tolerate abuse or neglect. With the importance of education I would seek council if this constitutes neglect. Just my worthless thoughts
Actually, not one bit worthless. My attorney on the other hand is worthless. A great suggestion. My attorney won't do anything to rock the boat right now, the divorce is almost finalized. The agreements have been signed and submitted to the court. I have no idea how long this is going to take. In spite of all of the red tape, tracking his grades is a really good idea. When I lived with the boys, they all had excellent grades. I moved out and suddenly things have gone south. They want me to get my own place so they can move in with me - I cook and they are teenagers - and I also communicate very well with them.
So scrap the divorce. Get an apartment and go for custody. His grades dropping could be acting out regarding the changes in his life, but it could also be a sign that there's something seriously wrong. Set up meetings with his teachers and find out what he's missing. They may have online gradebooks. And whatever you do, don't sign an agreement that you don't think is in your kids' best interest.

Thank you, Kat, that's EXACTLY what I am in the middle of doing right now.

They use a pen or marker to put a dot on your tongue so they know where to push the needle through at. First they have you stick your tongue out, this way they don't put it too far back in your mouth.

Awesome. It's my biggest pet peeve when a parent insists on custody but doesn't give a shit. Or if one parent wants to work together as a team and the other only wants to be partners with whoever they're dating at the time. #truestories

Actually, my kids are all old enough they are allowed to choose for themselves where they want to live and 2 of them have already told me they are going to move in the minute I do get my own place - apartment or house.
You are correct - she wanted custody and is now acting as if they are secondary or lower in her life and they can feel the difference - which is probably why his grades are shit right now.

It was red. It turned pinkish.
I am just now getting to the point where I can't talk very well. So now I'm just pointing and making sounds at my boyfriend. XD
Also, the black spot is, in fact, just from the marker they used.

They have a set age in CA? My friend is divorcing there right now and she said there isn't an age they can choose, just one where they can testify where they want to live. Ehh her kids are younger than yours anyway so that probably won't change anything for her.

Sorry this is going on, dude. The court system can be pretty ridiculous when it comes to these kinds of things. When my parents got divorced my oldest brother stayed with my dad and my other brother my sister, and I stayed with my mom. They came to an agreement with that on their own but child support was a completely different story. My dad owes my mom probably like $25k and hasn't paid a penny of it and my mom won't even bother with the court because it won't ever get resolved properly. Yaaaay court systems.
