I decided to fire up my Japanese Xbox 360 for the first time since April 2014. After the system updates, made progress in Witcher 2 (JP)... reminded me that siding with the elves & dwarves gives you that lovely town that nobody can figure out where the hell they're going. It honestly made me leave the (US) game for 2 months, before I pulled through it, to chapter 3, and then 2nd playthrough doing the normal human decision, it's much easier to progress.
Popping in (Dream Club Zero) since I have low achievements. Reminded me why I love/hate this game. You play as a single guy who frequents Tokyo's version of a strip club, and try to "date" women there.
With my (intermediate) grasp of the Japanese language, I just spent the last two virtual weeks making ~$55 (dollars) in fast food retail, and then entered the script club. Unfortunately, at the door, I didn't understand the kanji-- so I mistakenly spent $10 (dollars!) a pop, at a slot machine, and got beef jerky from said slot machine. I spun twice, before understanding my error.
Now entering said strip club with $35 (dollars) in my pocket ~33500 yen, I finally entered the club, and 3 of the 8 women were sleeping. So I chose a new hostess/stripper to escort me (in Japan with these kind of clubs, you pay women to drink with you / their time is your money).
She started out by asking me for my nickname, which (I apparently back in 2014) put as "Cannon". Hearing that, she covered her mouth after laughing, saying "gomenasai" (meaning I'm sorry) then proceeded to make 1500 yen ($1.50) to keep sitting with me.
^ screenshot from my TV. This is her saying "yeah, $1.50 to keep sitting with you"
Next, she talks about how rich her Father is, and "$1.50 or $15.00" what's the difference!? I spend about 22500 yen on drinks, and then she offers me a free glass of red wine, to top my beer. I drink it, and then proceed to pass out in the strip club, in front of her.
I wake up the next morning with a text from her-- asking how I'm doing. This is a fictional character, and I'm seriously considering that this game isn't completely worthless, and may deserve more of my time, because of its honesty.
(sigh............)
