Im lucky to keep 8 hours for a week, im always using some PTO and Sick Time. I think my max was at 30 something when i was stepping in as trainer for awhile, cause, you know, you kinda can't miss work when you have to train a class for the job.
Speaking of jobs, i've been on a week vacation from mine and they called me today and told me if i dont come in tomorrow im fired. Apparently i forgot that i used a lot of my PTO bank before my vacation and i've missed work 2 days in a row without pay. Whoopsie.

At least they had the courtesy to call you and let you know. At my job there is no such thing. You don't come in or call for 3 days in a row, you're gone and they won't call and tell you something like that.
