Honestly, I can say that I have never been less excited about any sport season in my entire life. The NBA is absolutely without a doubt ruined for me. The advent of the "super team" age of the NBA has lost me as a fan forever.
College hoops for me, although that is starting to trend the same way as the NBA.

super teams have been around in sports forever though, look at teams like the patriots that get great players to sign for cheap or the yankee's etc.
it's not just basketball or even professional sports, even most college programs are like this.
side note can't wait to watch the brooklyn nets

Well i still believe in my Chicago Bulls even without Rose and Rose will back after Xmas/before All Star Break is my projection giving us plenty of time to catch up and I still think the Bulls can beat the Heat. They did it last year w/o Rose.
As for the Lakers being a "super team".
Nash-old, still a great passer tho
Bryant-always been there you can't complain about that
Artest-Been there for a few years, old, never rly a productive player, good D tho
Gasol-Been there and isnt all that great, Lakers can't find anywhere to get rid of him, been in trade talks forever
Howard-He has 1 year contract and look at what happen to the Heat "super team" their first year. They failed horribly. Granted they did win their second year.
It's all about chemistry and most teams can't get good chemistry in the first year, so i'm still super excited for the season.
NFL/MLB super teams are made by the management, not bratty players making plans behind the scenes. At least thats how I see it.

Oh i wont deny that Howard is a little bitch, but he's the only one that i can think of that did something like that. I hate LeBron but i dont even remember him doing something like that. He couldn't win in Cleveland so he left.
The reason i hate him is because everyone compared him to Jordan straight away.... -___- Being a bulls fan all I can do is smh.

super teams have been around for a while in many sports BUT when you compare what the pat's have done the last 5 years to the YANKEES absurd all star monopoly they have had the last 20 years that may be going too far, i get your point about the multi sport "super team" comment but next time try and keep the pat's and yank's out of the same sentence, thanks.

Yeah but he is such a fucking little girl. A whole show for deciding what team to go to? Thats such a cake ass move. And the NBA just lets these guys do all this stuff. Its a joke.
If you're the face of a franchise, hell an entire city, tell your GM to bring better guys. Dont leave like a pussy. He got close to winning, he would have eventually got one if he didnt bitch out.

Oh yeah it was really stupid having the whole show thing. I dont mind people leaving teams especially if their contract is up, its their right to find the best place for them to play but he was from Ohio and people chastised him for that and he will never be the same there.

the difference in basketball is that superstar players get decision making abilities with upper management and roster changes, and with a smaller roster then in all other sports it's much easier.
I want these shoes so bad.
