I bought the Dead Money DLC for New Vegas and went to play it today but it doesn't let you play off your last save if your anywhere near the Hoover Dam. I thought it would let you continue after you beat the game like Fallout 3 did but it doesn't. The only saves I have are about an hour in the game where I don't have shit........LAME
oh yea i heard they pulled a bethesda and you cant continue the story once youre finished...but, unlike bethesda, the company who released new vegas, has apparentally claimed they WONT do any sort of broken steel-esque DLC that lets you continue the story...which, imo, is stupid as fuck

So did I but they were all from my last playthrough on hardcore. I rather not do all the DLCs in hardcore mode. I just cleared my cache and did the xp glitch so on to the DLC now.
Wow, thanks to Lou for the bump, you do know Irish that you can turn hardcore mode off in the option menu...

Oh god, I've had broken my controller doing the DLC on Hardcore... it's hard enough with enemies that only die if you cut off limbs and poison gas all over, not to mention indestructable radios making your head explode, but they take all your shit, and you have to scrounge around to find an arsenal. Blech, after an hour or 2 of constant dying I had decent ammo, and I actually got the best gun in the game (IMO) in the DLC, and it wasn't too bad after that... but if I had to worry about ANYTHING ELSE, I'd have gone nuts. God, my head blew up around 2000 times.
