That sounds so entertaining.
Almost impossible to do legit since food takes 10-15 second to heal you, so it's of no use in battle. Might as well drown yourself over and over.

AJ is right. Beleive it or not I had to do the same thing for the stimpack achievement.
But that actually heals up right away (at least in casual mode).

I'd say no right now since I can't even play the game online without it freezing, I literally had to delete the "patch" to even be able to play the game for more than 5 minutes. As soon as they fix the 100000000000000 issues then yes, it's probably a tad better from the first few hours I've managed to glitch my way through.
