KoA certainly wasint going to set the world on fire. They should have made a few money makers first.

True story. 10 of my last 12 relationships began (and ended) in this manner.

Ok a few of these tips I already knew but I never would have thought of the dead animals or self-immolation. FUCK you guys are helpful, I'm going to ask here next time I have a question about anything regarding anything.
The whole story of 38 Studios possibly holding and mis-handling employees' housing was alarming to me at first until I dug in a little and found out it used to sort of be a common thing amongst companies with relocation things.
Most of those companies didn't turbo-flush their business away right in the middle of the proceedings, though. I feel bad for the families but at the same time that is what you get for letting someone else do important things for you like selling your freakin' house?

it's sad really, it sold like 1.2 million copies, which isn't bad for a new IP, but just to break even from the game/MMO they had to sell at least 3 million copies, which is ridiculous!

Yeah, my dad had a job offer in southern California a long time ago, and the company was going to move us from St Paul all the way to LA, plus they'd purchase a house for us in the neighborhood the rest of the employees lived in- pay the down payment and a % of the house cost as well as securing the loan- and the house would then be in the company's name as well as my dad's. It seemed like there were some pretty freaking huge drawbacks to that arrangement. (Obviously, he didn't take the job).

Yeah the whole house thing is sad, 38 studios handle that very poorly. Of course it's all but certain that 38 studios is going under, so any thoughts/hopes for who may purchase the KoA IP from Rhode Island?
I'd love to see it as a Microsoft exclusive.

same here even though i'm not done with the first, the improvements they listed would of made a great game even better.
here's to hoping they can purchase the IP.
