No, it is neither. It is a perk for being supportive of the team developing this game. You can go buy used for all I care and help bring some of these honest companies to their doom by not supporting them but rather supporting companies like gamestop who are only in it for short changing the devs and making a bigger amount of change in their pocket.

I prefer to help keep these game developers going that like to give perks to their supportive customers.

actually it is project 10 dollar, just like the Cerberus network in ME 2.

This is the first demo I've downloaded in a long while. Overall it's fun & I'm interested in trying the game (once I've completed Skyrim). My only real issue is the game looked alot like Fable. Fable was ok but after #2 I was completely bored with the franchise.

I can't help but laugh at people that take this used/new games BS so seriously, like it's a war. What's with the gnash, gnash, grind, grind stuff?
Again, I have to laugh- the whole used vs new thing loses some weight when I can wait a while and then buy the game (from a reputible non-PawnShop dealer) for $10 "new" and sealed in plastic. The developer still got "supported" and I got it for a song...

Oh, so your one of them people, who just likes to be cheap. Simple as that.

Developers of any game lose a ton of money to the used game market, and because of that, they had to come up with some sort of incentive, so that they can actually earn money on their titles.

When a new title drops to bargain bin prices, developers don't make ding dong on anything, maybe pennies if you're being picky.

Gamestop is not reputable in my eyes, and is one of the biggest rip off companies in retail I have ever known and worked for. If Gamestop were never around, developers probably never would have invented the "online pass" and other things.

But back on topic, again, buying the game day 1, nets everyone an early PERK in getting FREE DLC. Not an online pass or anything. Hell you don't even need the content. It is just nice to get free stuff, and you and I both know, they still had to put time and effort into this content that they are just giving away.

Now go away and laugh in a corner with your Great Value Ramen Noodles, while you save up change for your next bargain bin title.

I'm about 4 hours in right now, and i'm loving it. The combat is awesome, there are a lot of side quests so far, and it just seems generally enjoyable. glad i picked it up.

so after 7 hours today alone, it's safe to say I'm addicted. this game is awesome and makes me even more excited for ME 3!

I put in 6 hours, and i am already getting bored. It is not as motivating as Skyrim was. I will put more time into it later and see if that changes my opinion. I too have been doing side quests and haven't really touched the main quest. I sure liked the Mass Effect 3 Items.

17 hours in now, I did the house of ballads and i'm finishing up the warsworn. I'm a decent length into the story, i just got to Ysa. I just have so many side quests to do after i finish the warsworn it's ridiculous lol. I guess after those side quests, i'll do the travelers quest line before moving on to the story and the rest of the first continents side quests. I figure it'll take another 30 or so hours to beat the game.
