Bought a 20gb a while back (not sure the date, I got the first Saints Row with it when it was pretty much brand new). Then after the laser stopped reading disks, I bought an arcade console, upgraded to a 60gb harddrive and now Im waiting for my Star Wars console to come in November. I still own both of my old ones and might one day fix up the first one I had.

I have had my Xbox for almost three years(I had another gamertag before this current one, so it's soon to say a 2 year Gold member, when it's really 3). I am still on the same exact Xbox I received for Christmas in 2008. My friend received one a month after me, and he achieved a RRoD. I luckily however have not once had to send in my Xbox.

a little advice to buyers of consoles in the future: if you buy from gamestop new or used BUY THE YEAR PROTECTION PLAN,THEY WILL TAKE THE SYSTEM BACK IF IT BREAKS (excluding water damage and any majorly obvious physical damage) I HAVE SAVED OVER 400 BUCKS THIS WAY AND THAT DAMN GOOD CONSIDERING YOU ONLY PAY BETWEEN 15-30 BUCKS FOR THE PROTECTION PLAN,TRUST ME BUY IT AND COVER YOUR ASSES.

I finally wore out the part that opens/closes the disc drive so the console won't open any more. i don't think it was a lemon, I just wore it out. had to switch over to my fiance's xbox a few months ago.

i have had two total
the first one was bought on its release date i repaired the red ring 15 times before the board cracked beyond repair
