I have had a total of 4.
My first one Red Ringed after 2 years and needed sent in, luckily this was after they extended the RRoD Warranty to 3 years.
That one has worked fine since. I actually just sold it to a friend for $50. I owed him a lil bit so I dropped my asking price for him.
I also have a MW2 edition, and a Slim. Both with the 250 GB HD and doing fine.

Damn, seems like everyone has been having bad luck, i've only had 1 xbox since 2008. It e74'd once but MS fixed it, and ever since it hasn't had any problems.

3. First one I got back in '05 got the RRoD in '07, so I bought another one. It too got the RRoD in like '09, but instead of sending it back, i fixed it. It worked for a few more months, but after that, it inevitably failed...so I smashed it. Got the third one running in my room right now.

Got my first one from my bro-in-law in '07, which was a release console.
After two and a half years in my possession, it died via RROD.

2 of the original black xbox. 2 of the originals 360s. RROD on one before MS agreed the issue was their fault the other sold. 2 elites that both went back for service under warrantee. Kept one as a spare and sold one in December. 1 slim that's my main console. So what is that, 7 in total?

My first was a white 20gb Pro, I then got a black elite for Christmas 09 because my pro was starting to freeze up. Then they announced the 360S, so I did the trade in at Gamestop to get it for free (with $79 of gift card balance) with my white freezing xbox. So three.
