as for other JRPGs, i wanna play Magna Carta 2 and Star Ocean 4, but looks like FFXIII will take priority xDi played about 5 hours of the first Magna Carta and i didn't like it much, but i'm really excited to try 2 out.
it took me 35 hours to beat Star Ocean 3, awesome game but the storyline is so crazy

I actually found Star Ocean 4 a little bit boring, but I was only 8 hours in when I had to return it. Someday I'll go back and finish.
Lost Odyssey seemed really interesting, I bought it on the cheap but only got about 5 hours into it before a friend borrowed it and I keep forgetting to get it back, argh.
Enchanted Arms was incredibly silly but I think it makes a good introduction to J-RPGs for 360 players that have never done one before, since it's pretty straight forward.
I still really want to play Tales of Vesperia, I'll probably buy it on the cheap when I can. Magna Carta 2 also looks nifty.
Blue Dragon I really wanted to like but I just couldn't get in to it at all. The visuals were terrific but there was just something about it that lacked appeal.
As for Final Fantasy 13, man oh man I can't wait till Tuesday. I'm actually really happy that a huge chunk of the game from the beginning is linear, I have an ADHD problem in RPGs where I tend to wander way too far & often and sometimes even forget what the story is or what I'm supposed to be doing.
I really like the character designs of Lightning and Fang even though I barely know anything about them. I'm just glad it's not another Cloud/Squall/Tidus.

Yeah, I didn't dislike any of those three, Cloud Squall and Tidus were each good in their own way, I'm just glad the main protagonists of XIII aren't like them from what I can tell.
I actually really liked Cloud, especially after playing Crisis Core. He was such a hypochondriac and a passive-aggressive psycho, hard not to like.

that's how i am with open world games such as GTA and Saint's Row. i tend to just roam around messing with stuff and forget to play the actual story, then i end up getting bored of the game altogether and never finish it. dunno why but RPGs on the other hand i can finish even if it's open ended. i guess i really like RPGs lol.

Star Ocean IV is amazing Meta, I have about 150-200 hours in it right now, and I still have stuff to do on the first playthrough, I have 2 more playthroughs at least, and 70% more of the battle trophies.
