I don't, because it's my pool and I have to clean it. That said, urine is sterile, so that's not where the infections come from. The parts of the body that contaminate urine are in the water regardless of whether they're urinating or not... And chlorine kills germs. Murseoger could probably answer the why question, haha.

It's less the pee in the pool that you have to worry about, its more the poo in the pool.
Urine is sterile when it leaves the body (barring a UTI). So although it's gross, it's technically not the problem. The other problem is that chlorine does kill germs, but too much chlorine causes issues for people. It's the fine balance of chemicals vs. germs.
But seriously, you have to worry more about the poo in the pool. Those diapers for kids that they go swimming in are nice, but its not like it prevents all the feces from coming in contact with the water. And poo is NOT sterile.
Edit: and those that don't wipe themselves well

Didn't South Park do an episode about the dangers of peeing in the pool? It didn't end well with them so I don't pee in the pools.

I voted yes because I have peed in the pool before. But as stated earlier by someone, I try not to when possible. Only for emergency situations, lol.

Quote by CRAWFORD:
You have to be careful. Some high end pools/waterparks have a special chemical in the water that when mixed with urine it will react and turn the water into a different color around you.
Is There a Pool Urine Detector or Pool Urine Indicator Dye?
Answer: No. There is no chemical which changes color when someone urinates in a swimming pool. There are dyes which could cloud, change color, or produce a color in response to urine, but these chemicals would also be activated by other compounds, producing embarrassing false-positives.

Haha, I don't swim in other people's body fluids, so I don't use public pools. I do, however, squat over the edge and pee/poo in other pools, but that's only at night when no one is around, and there wasn't an option for that.

I always thought peeing in the pool was one of those "it's going to happen anyway" deals. As others have said, there should be chemicals in the water anyway.
I answered "yes" on the poll but I wasn't sure if what I do counts--see, I like to stand outside the pool and pee on girls that are in the pool, so is that a yes or no?

Yeah, there was no "I pee in other people's pools" option.....
My plan is to buy my own pool. I'd rather swim in my own family's filth than others!

I don't pee in pools. As far as public pools are concerned, I just try not to think about the reality of the situation. Kind of like when you drop your burger behind the toilet. I don't think about it, I just pick it up and eat it!
