Yes I absolutely loved it on Playstation with a gamepad. The graphics seemed to take a hit but the control scheme more than made up for it, I ended up playing my PS copy way more than the PC one.
Since the expansion is still a ways off from release, I hope the console version launches the same time as the PC one. Even though the Crusader is a rehash, I am looking forward to playing him because of how fun the Paladin was.
The Paladin was O.P. as ****. You could practically solo ubers with one.

WarCraft 2 was one of the earliest games I got for my Playstation since my PC couldn't run it, and man it was pretty bad.
Not the game itself, it looked great and they did a really good job porting it. It was the control scheme--trying to play an old RTS game like that with no analog sticks, not enough buttons, and no grouping features was nightmarish. It didn't help that the AI seemed far more aggressive on the PSx version.
Overall, when Blizzard got so huge with World of Warcraft and then merged with Activision, I had a bad feeling about it. Really, though, the company has so far maintained high quality for their projects, even if questionable features get added, and if them being part of an evil corporation means more of their stuff gets released on console then yeah, I am all for it.
Diablo 3 xbox version is the first game in years that I pre-ordered and completely paid off so early. I vote with my wallet!

If you like action-RPGs that are light on story but heavy on combat and loot, then you will definitely enjoy Diablo 3.
Each character class has skills that you can alter to your playstyle. For instance, the Barbarian has a high-damage strike that uses energy. With the rune system, you can change it to affect a wider area, or hit a smaller area but with more damage, or add life steal properties, or make it stun enemies, etc. Every skill has multiple runes, and changing/re-spec'ing your character is free so you are encouraged to experiment.
The way the game's engine works, the 360 and PS3 will be able to run the game at the equivalent of high settings on the PC version, so nothing is lost in this port unless you are just a big fan of the keyboard+mouse control setup.
Which, IMO, everything in Diablo except maybe planting traps & kiting works better on a controller anyway.
If the company is smart they will release a demo for the console version so people can decide for themselves, but as I've played the PC version quite a bit, I can safely recommend the console version.

Yeah it's getting critical acclaim. Better reviews then the PC version so far.

Is anyone's Gamestop doing a midnight release tonight?
I figured there wouldn't be one specifically for Diablo but I was thinking there was something else big coming out tomorrow.
Anyway final day wooo can't wait to go back to hell and raep face.

Wooooo yeah! Evol and I are running errands tomorrow and picking up 2 copies on the way home! He's off work for a while, so I'm forcing him to play and have fun with meeeee!!!
