I really enjoyed all of the books by Dan Brown especially Angels & Demons. I can't wait to see the movie with my fav actor Tom Hanks. Da Vinci code was a great book, but the movie wasn't as good as usual. Hopefully the follow up is better.
I also enjoy renting a bunch of books from the library - mostly top seller fiction books - Michael Crichton, Dan Patterson, etc.

My favorite books ever are Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials. Right now the only thing I'm reading that's not required reading is Revolution: A Manifesto by Ron Paul. I've got a slew of books on might nightstand just begging to be read including: When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris, Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson and then the series of Eragon, Eldest and Brinsingr by Christopher Paolini. It's hard for me to find time to read for pleasure during the school year. Hell, it's hard for me to find time for required reading during the school year.
