well... you don't HAVE to slash their throats.
you can shoot them! or even nade them!
gosh... it's just realistic, lol.

I agree, I try to never kill the dogs, but I think if Miss Malice tried it, or COD4 she'd like it, she hated HALO at first, now look at her...and I should know, she stole my xbox from me...damn wives...

I totally get what she's saying.
There was a similar moment years and years ago when I was sitting in front of a PC playing Wolfenstein 3D and I said, "Aww, I feel bad that I have to kill the dogs." A nearby 'authority figure' pointed out that I had had no qualms killing the huge number of soldiers. It made me momentarily pensive.
It's much easier to empathize with an animals' suffering to the point of not wanting to simulate it than it is to say, "Hey! You know what? People die in real life! That's f#@$ed up! I don't want to kill people in my video games.
One of the things I think is cool is how the marketing campaign for... I guess it's W@W... has the narrator actually being an enemy soldier and talking about how hard he will fight to defend his honor. It points out that in the situation, you are the aggressor and you are going to pay for every inch you try to take with blood. Pretty cool!

send me a FR noob!
i freakin' love nazi zombies!
today was my first time actually playing with 3 other people, which was cool, but one dude didn't have a mic and kept running around like an idiot instead of guarding a window like we were planning on doing. so i had to guard two windows and it ended pretty miserably lol.
anyway, i just need one more cheevo to 1K it, and that's the blue ribbon.
i can usually get 2nd place but there's always some level 50 something second prestige in the game who gets like 30,000 points a map.

I wish I had spent more time researching the achievements before my roommate and I spent several hours on co-op. I started Veteran tonight and will likely lose a controller or two to this campaign. I hope the next one goes back modern.

Don't worry, it will. It's already been announced. I believe I remember reading their plan is to alternate between WWII and Modern Combat series.
