The Woodsman 7/10. Very Interesting concept, just wished it had been fleshed out a bit. It was over way too fast, and a bit in-conclusive.
The Ruins 6/10 Very blah. Kind of got a bit outlandish, even for the horror genre.

I just can't wait for the straight-to-DVD sequel! The Ruins 2: Attack of the Killer Ventriloquist Plants staring Hayden Pan...et..tieerrre...erre.
It will have the evil plant sneaking on to a boat and sailing to New York where it will stalk and ruthlessly kill teenagers. Soundtrack features the new hit single "Root of All Evil" by Nickelback.

I'm actually considering reading the book; I thought the concept was interesting and thought provoking.

Yeah I agree with Nick, the novel was good. I liked it a lot more than the movie.
I did actually enjoy the movie, though. Mainly because I sat my mom, sister and brother-in-law down to watch it and I cooked spaghetti & meatballs and served them during the leg amputation scene
