Sam Rockwell puts in his best performance ever. slow at first then it picks up. not quite what i expected but good nonetheless. the ending was not quite up to par with the rest of the movie, and Kevin Spacey's role was hardly anything to mention, but Rockwell's acting gave this an extra star.
great movie 8/10 really interesting from begging to end
fantastic movie but falls apart a bit at the end.
American History X [9.5/10]
hugely powerful, stunning performance by Edward Norton

10/10 for me. LOVED THIS MOVIE! one of the best of the year.
It was a lot better than I thought it would be. I think Gerard Butler is a fuckin cool actor. He'll always be Leonidas to me. Luda's role was good. I actually watched the special features about the camera because the movie looked really fucking good for being a standard definition DVD. Definitely a fun movie for any type of "gamer" to watch, including people that just play Second Life or the Sims.
I tend to use the 5 point scale because that is what netflix uses, and it is a much more confining scale. you figure on a 10 point scale you have 20 different ratings 1,1.5,2,2.5 so on and so forth. so i use the 5 point scale and this is generally how i rate movies...
1-Hated it! Not worth watching, will never see again, ever!
2-Disliked it. Maybe it's worth the watch, but only once.
3-Okay. Has good parts, might buy it or watch it again.
4-Really good. Gonna buy it and watch again maybe a few times a year.
5- Loved it! Great movie, simply one of the best, Must buy it, and watch over and over.
Speaking of Gerard Butler. Pretty awesome movie, actually second time I saw it; if you've seen it in theaters, there were a few additional scenes in there, at least in the Blu Ray, not certain about the DVD.

you're awesome! lol. i really didn't expect anyone to do that.
anyway, i've only seen pulp fiction, death proof and inglorious basterds.
i loved pulp fiction and basterds, but didn't care for death proof at all.
i need to check out the others. i've been told they're great.
Haha, looks like I've got Noah on the Tarantino train
So glad I just watched all his movies. All of them are great, Death Proof being the worst, but still fun to watch. If you liked Pulp and Inglourious then you should like the others.
The Lightning Thief - 7/10
This movie is alright on its own, though a little worse if you've read the book. They change many things and the entire 45 minutes isn't in the book. But still, I found myself enjoying it, great special effects, decent acting (I guess), and just a fun movie.
