Francis the Mute is another amazing album from The Mars Volta. It's where the track "L'via l'Viaquez" in Guitar Hero World Tour comes from.
Very eclectic, interesting & engaging music.

Artist: The Mars Volta
Album: De-Loused in the Comatorium
Genre: Alternative Rock / Experimental
Release Date: June 24, 2003
This is their first album, I believe and they've come out with others since then. Their type of music isn't for everyone but I enjoy it. I've always liked them for their unique sound, vocals and I personally think they're some pretty awesome musicians. Especially the guitar player. To each his/her own though. Overall, I'd rate them at a 9/10.
Songs I'd recommend:
- Intertiatic ESP
- Drunkship Of Lanterns
- Eriatarka
- Cicatriz ESP
- Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt
And for all the hardcore TMV fans out there, Cedric (vocalist) and Omar (lead guitarist) used to be in a band called At The Drive-In before this.
This band, is amazing.
i saw them live one time in Cleveland with a few friends.
and they put on one of the best concerts, they were so amazing...
i cant even being to talk about the drummer and how insane he was

Lamb of God-Wrath
Release-February 24, 2009 by Epic Records
Genre-Metal
This is the 6th album from the five piece Heavy Metal ensemble from Virginia. Pure American Metal is what Lamb of God calls their musical style. Pure fuckin' metal is exactly what you can expect every time you listen to Lamb of God.
There has never been a compromise when it comes to LoG's fierce and driving style, and Wrath is no different in that respect. Consistent and technical from stem to stern, this album solidifies this band as a leader and innovator in today's metal scene. There are no breakdowns in this album. It is technically sound from beginning to end.
The overall sound of this album is decidedly Pantera-esque, in my opinion. That is not a bad thing, but surprising to me. I believe the guitar tracks are what leave me with this impression. The riffs seem like they were plucked from Dimebag's secret stash. The guitars are impressive and are dealt at breakneck speed.
Chris Adler's drumming remains to be at the pinnacle of his profession. With double bass and quads that rumble the ground, and light cymbal work that would make jazz drummers jealous, he has laid claim to the throne of metal drumming.
The vocals are classic Randy Blythe, the skinny bald guy that can roar like a minotaur. (and looks like Noah9000. lol) No surprises there.
This is a truly mature album, from a mature metal band. The only mark against it for me, is what I feel is a sloppy live version of "Now you have something to die for." For an album that gone above and beyond to be technically precise, this just seems like filler and plainly unnecessary. But it IS a good song and so I don't take much away for this slip up.
If you are a Lamb of God fan at all, Wrath is a must-have. If you are a metal fan, i think this is one that you need to check out. If you are not a metal fan, this one may reel you in. Great album!
Must-listen songs:
Grace
Broken Hands
Choke Sermon
(I could keep going!)
9.5/10

Let me start by saying this was an awesome review and I agree with the vast majority of it.
However, since you appreciate quality metal drumming where it is appropriate, let me advise you to check out a few other cats before you give Adler the throne: Hellhammer, Inferno, Nick Barker and Tony Laureano.

Byzantine- Oblivion Beckons (Thrash, Progressive Metal)
Prosthetic Records 2008
Now here's a band that gets better with ever release (which makes is a shame that they broke up a day after this album's release!). With this release everything seemed to come together, with the screams and melodies working together nicely. But, I think the guitar work on this album is the best I've ever heard from these guys, making this album the best.
Score: 9.25/10
Songs to listen too:
Nadir
Oblivion Beckons
Expansion and Collapse
Catalyst
Centurion

This album is one of my favorites from last year hands down. His sort of yelling/barking vocals are hard to get used to at first but his clean tones are really infectious. Music wise the disc is some top notch groove/thrash metal with superb riffs. Highly recommended.

...And Justice for All - Metallica (Metal)
Awesome Metal. Metallica's best album by a lot. Only one that comes close is Master of Puppets. Unfortunatly we all no Metallica has gone down the drain, but we can remember their good stuff by listing to this awesome album. One of the greatest metal albums ever made.
Score: 10/10
Songs to Listen to (they're all amazing, but these are the best):
One
Frayed Ends of Sanity
Blackened
...And Justice for All
To Live is to Die
BUY THIS ALBUM NOW IF YOU LIKE METAL.
My favorite album of all time. What isn't to love about it? Everything is so tight and the arrangements are nothing short of perfect. Plus, as a bonus, Lars decided to get a little creative with his drumming. Not enough good things can be said about And Justice For All. I love most Metallica albums but none of them stand up to this one.
