I've been looking into purchasing a HDTV somewhere between 32" to whatever-I-can-afford. I'm definitely on a budget. The most I'm willing to spend total is around $800... maybe $900.

I don't know much about TV's, but I've been able to find a few that fit my needs. Besides the size and price, it needs to be a flat panel I can mount on my wall and I'd definitely prefer it if it's capable of being hooked up to a PC. I'll be using it with my Xbox 360 when it's just me, and for watching some dvds and cable.

Here's #1 on my list.

Anyone have any suggestions? Really it's probably just between the first two. Plus, if you can find any ones I don't have listed here you think would be good for me, let's hear them.

Get the Westinghouse for 700. Its bigger, and zoboa did a good review on a westinghouse that convinced me that they are indeed a good tv. If it were me though, since you said you would spend 8 or 900, I would go for that vizio plasma. That is an absolute steal for a plasma tv, AND its big. The contrast ratio on plasmas are just unmatched.

I still say Akai. Akai is good from what I can tell, and the model my parents have has a built in DVD player. If you go for DVDs anyways.

I'd say go to the store and see how they look to you. Each person can see different "issues" with every TV set out. I'm looking for a smaller LCD HDTV, but the prices are a bit too high to swallow at this point. Good luck and I hope you find the set that will do you well!
