Hmm, agreed. The quote is rather shallow and pedantic.

And this thread has made me realize that I don't have any of my prized possessions anymore. An ex stole my game gear and neo geo pocket... Neither of those were things I was collecting, I'm just old enough to have gotten them when they came out, lol. Another ex sold my dreamcast and all my other old systems. I no longer have any of my CE stuff... When I go through a bad break up, I ditch all my stuff and get the hell out of dodge. Like- change states and everything.
But I do have my custom 360 and ps3s... And of course my lovely lovely slim.

I'm sorry to hear your jerk ex stole/sold all or most of your awesome gaming collection. My grandmother threw out (in the garbage can) a huge majority of my SNES and Genesis games when I was younger. Her philosophy was, "if you want something new, you gotta get rid of your older stuff." I was so young and stupid at the time, I was like "yay! Nintendo 64 stuff, who cares about SNES."
Looking back on it and especially since I collect now, I'm deeply saddened at the thought that so many good games were destroyed in a trash heap.

Yes! My parents had an intellivision and the original home version of pong, and when they moved to California they tossed them.
It kind of gives you a sick feeling in your gut to lose stuff like that....
