Ok, let's take this a step at a time here, shall we? ;)

Quote by Junior Mint Daddy:

And its because of attitudes like yours evol, that made the comp suck for 2011. You shape and shift everything to you and your wifes advantage

This right here never gets old! Guy A can no longer come up with a sensible argument in his favor, so guy B must have a bad attitude. Call him out on it and if he takes the high road and leaves the dispute, you win and got your little jab in. If he comes back to dispute, his bad attitude is a self fulfilling prophecy!

In reality, just because I disagree with you, it doesn't mean I have a bad attitude. In fact, I started by saying that I agree with most of what you said. I only became sarcastic after you told we who have windows phones to buy everyone else one or you don't think we should be allowed to participate.

As for "shaping and shifting" the competition to favor my team... WHAT????

During the 2011 comp. Jr.:
-complained about people using Fallout pc.
-gotten a strike due to the use of Avatar.
-didn't have a WP7
-got into an argument over offline achievements.
-gave up when things didn't go his way because, "it wasn't fun anymore."

WHO is shaping and shifting?

Quote by Junior Mint Daddy:

(hell if I'm even talking to you evol, I'm sure melissa posts under you). if you can't hang with a little bit of rules then don't compete, simple as that.

It's me, don't worry. I do like how you keep telling people to quit or not even join, even though down below you tell everyone to not take it so seriously.

Quote by Junior Mint Daddy:

Besides, I only made suggesions and am in no position to host my own comp. If some of my suggestions get chosen then cool, if not, oh well. Quit taking stuff so seriously, we have 3 months to hash out whatever.

I am just looking for the most pure, competitive atmosphere for the next year. No loose ends or anything for the next comp. Meaning less drama, less questions asked, and more gamerscore earned.

It sounds like you want a competition for robots to me. With competition comes drama. You seem to want to eliminate strategy.

Your attitude with the posts after your initial response calling shit a communist competition, and people having to quit because income, is why I said your attitude sucks. Yeah I don't agree with the windows phones in a comp, why can't I say that without you blowing it up into an imaginary problem?

I no longer wanted to participate in the last comp because of all the bs problems and drama. It was no longer a fun competition. And the dirty tactics used during the comp soured my taste for wanting to participate. I like integrity from a fellow competitor, not the opposite.

And who needs robots? The only strategy needed is to just play and earn Gamerscore.

So I used a little satire, and you got bent out of shape. Maybe take your own advice and don't take it so seriously.

As for what's-his-douche and his shitty tactics, that's not my fault. So don't act as though I single handedly ruined the comp. I just came forward with the info that I had. It was in the name of fairness even though I'd rather hit him with a car than talk to him.

Hey! When I made this thread I made it so we as a group could come up with a pure set of rules for this competition, not to act like monkeys in a zoo throwing poo at each other. If you can't get along with the other, then strive to beat the other in the tournaments, not throw anything personal at the other ok?

I for one am against having any games taken out of this. If you haven't played Avatar and Fallout 3 PC. Good for you! I mean if we decided to throw Avatar and F3PC under the bus, then why not all of the games in the Waffle threads? And besides those games would only matter for like a week. All is fair gamewise for the competition. (Wasn't there a Spanish version of Madden somewhere? I can only imagine a TD by Aaron Rodgers to Greg Jennings. GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!)

I do agree with Junior on the fact that we do need more than 1 person running this next competition. Bongo did his best to deal with the decisions that needed to be made and I am sure they were taxing on him. So I suggest a council of maybe 3,5,7, or the Supreme Court 9 so we can make fair decisions... and accept bribes (I take mine in the form of bundles of $100 bills.)

I also would go against offline achievements. They are unfair to us who do update in trying to give everyone a fair and accurate update by not showing us everything.

So far we have a Survivor idea, a Nascar idea, a Communism trip for all of us idea, and a revamped 2011 tournament idea. Let's keep up this good stuff. And less Nacho Libre... what next? Are we gonna whip out our Picks of Destiny?

My thoughts:

-Tourney should be lead by 2 people to better maintain scores and competitors.
-No offline playing, all achieves need to be tagged online. If happens on accident (maybe 1 or 2 achieves) then let tourney heads know immediately.
-No outside input or judging from tourney competitors. If you don't like the decisions, then quit.
-No dirty tactics. Meaning no misleading posts, lying about scores, dressing like nacho libre, etc.
-No name calling, arguing or fighting on XBA forums or on Live. If you wanna act like children, then quit the tourney.
-No more fallout 3 pc allowed! No Avatar TBE allowed! Earn some real points, not 2min 1k achieve games.
-No windows phone achieves should be allowed in the comp. Not everyone has or can afford these devices or might not have access. Should give everyone an even playing field.

These are just initial thoughts.

I agree that it would help to have more than one person run it. I also think it would help (at least for perception of the competitors) that those running it not be in the tournament. I don't believe Bongo was one bit biased to help out his team, but it does make things hard when you are involved in the tourney as well to make tough decisions.

I also agree about the offline achievements.

But I guess its moot since I need a freaking break from gaming in any other way than what I want. I can't begin to tell you how much I have structured my gaming this year around the tourney.....

How bout anything you can earn achievements in, go for it but it all has to have online stamps. Some people don't have kinect, w7p, etc. same goes to some people have a backlog of games and some people can't afford new release games. its all good

maybe have a minimum gamerscore requirement to even join to possibly eliminate someone with a low score from being able to spam waffle games? there is 2 months left to discuss any rules that will outline the competition and several of them have sounded good.

i also say this time around the original rules STICK and don't change to bend around people each week. like i said, we have 2 months to get shit together

im not interested in joining the competition myself, but i would be more than happy to start and run a spreadsheet type of thing throughout the competition helping with keeping scores and what not.
