We seem to have different alignments.
Our denomination is officially Chaotic Neutral, but we will gladly worship with parishioners from other alignments. Except Lawful Good and Chaotic Evil--noone likes a douchebag, and wildcards end up burning everything down.

Alright, that sounds disgusting, so you're excommunicatus.

It's supposed to be good.

This pisses me off to no end:

They're discarding EVERYTHING Star Wars that doesn't come from the movies, Clone Wars and Rebels. That means none of the books ever happened or comics or games in the Star Wars universe. If I ever meet George Lucas I'm punching him in his fat face. Fucking sellout piece of shit.

For selling the rights? He was running it into the ground long before that.

Everything expanded universe never happened now. The characters, the locations, lore, everything. Disney can change whatever they want. Leia and Han never get married/have kids. Luke never marries/has Ben. The Thrawn books never happen. It's all complete bullshit. Which means when new books come out, they won't continue on with the stories that are already there. It's all starting back to square one. We're just suppose to forget any of it ever happened.
While I don't agree with how the prequel movies went, especially Jar Jar, I'd rather it sit in his hands than having it all wiped clean as if it never happened.
New Rant: I went into Gamestop today to get a prepaid card for Final Fantasy. They don't sell them in the store it seems. I know they sell them on their site. The guy couldn't get a code to print out, so he tells me to buy a gift card and order it off their site. He says it'll be no more than $32 but I put $33 on it just in case. I go home, add it to cart, go to checkout and it's not a digital code. It's a damn physical card that they're charging $4 shipping on plus almost $3 tax. So now I can't play Final Fantasy and I can't get back to the store till at least next week. And then wait another week for the code to come in the mail.

He sold the rights for $2 billion, and he gave around $1 billion to charity. I like Thrawn as much as the next guy, but not making it canon doesn't mean the story doesn't exist. They're not burning all the books. As someone that actually met George Lucas, and talked with him over an hour at AFI, he's not a bad guy. Not a creative genius either. Just a filmmaker with some choice friends, that made some good decisions. There's a lot worse you can do in this world, than give a heck of a lot of people jobs, tell a story we all fell in love with, and gave a hefty amount of the profits, to people in need.

Truth. Truth. Unless someone is going into your head to suck out what you've read, it's not a big deal.
It's just like everything with alternate realities. :/

The thing that is pissing me off about this whole thing is not that the stories aren't cannon anymore. It's the fact that I've invested all this time into stories that will never continue. I will never get to know what happens next. I have literally read every book that's ever been written in the Star Wars saga and I will never know what happens next.
I was just throwing in Thrawn in as an example since everyone that has read Star Wars would be able to relate to what I'm talking about. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed that series, it's just that there is way more to the Expanded Universe than just Thrawn.
And as for George Lucas, I don't care if he gave $100 billion to charity, he took something that I loved and spent most of my life with and killed it. As far as he's concerned, he's dead to me.

I can't decide to get Battlefield 4 w/ Premium or Forza 5 LE w/ car pass. I'm indecisive.

In the case of Final Fantasy X I wish someone WOULD suck out that horrible canon audio epilogue. Holy fuck did that almost ruin the entire HD remaster for me. Then I figured out that as a fan I can just retcon it myself. I'm sure it works in reverse. Anytime something changes hands you can chose to ignore the changes (Or in this case the universe revamp). We do it with super shitty (Made for TV) movie sequels all the time. Which coincidentally Disney has done a ton of.

Except that did have the blessing of FFX's creators'. There is a purity of viewing / playing the original concept. That's why I'm doing so, on my Ouya, on an HDTV. I can relate- with my D-list career. Hell, I'm struggling to make a sequel to the only thing people know me for. You can't fault Square-Enix, or Disney, for making money. There will always be innovators, & investors. If money was never a concern--- Tidus would have died-- been recon'd from history-- but everyone but Yuna, would believe it. She'd live on- the only vessel of his memory- and it would be her consciousness- not BS, that carries him on. Like it is, you know... in real life. People die- and they're not retcon'd. I guess Square-Enix forgot what made Aeris/Aerith matter.

Tidus can't die...
Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilersince he was technically never alive during the first two games events. Not sure how a real world death would be relevant. The Tidus we know is not a real person so much as he is a memory who can make new memories. Even the perfect ending is vague as to what kind of undead life he can lead. Since he does not need a real body and is made entirely of pyre-flies I doubt he can be truly killed in the first place. Just forgotten.
What pisses me off is the extreme vagueness and overall shitty writing the epilogue had. It was the equivalent of a Friday the 13th movie where they finally kill Jason only for him to pop out of the water in the end credits leaving the plot entirely unresolved. Open ended nonsense mindlessly tacked on to a otherwise decent end.

People who think those white lines in parking lots are for parking on and not between. I'm annoyed easily.
