Moral of the story, don't lend your stuff to shitty people.
Sometimes you don't find that out until it's too late!

Exactly. Just assuming everyone is shitty beforehand is not really a good option. I give close friends at least one strike with borrowed goods.

I don't plan on it.
Also Haze, you have to assume everyone is shitty unless proven otherwise. 9 times outta 10 if they're given something that isn't their own they won't give a damn about it.
A dvd is worth finding that out 9/10 too. Before they **** you over with something that's actually important.

It's part of the process, but I had so much to uninstall, cleaned the registry, deleted caches etc, it's been a long process.

I would suggest getting a Mac if this issue persists for them

Or they could just be taught on what not to do. Like install every god damn thing they get prompted for.
It's funny because Evol and I just had this discussion with the 11 year old. He wants a new computer but his computer was wrecked by him being gullible and clicking everything. And he borrowed my moms computer once and when she was on it later, she got one of those pop ups that say "there's an error and the registry needs to be cleaned. Click here to begin!" So she clicks it, thinking he wrecked her computer but she herself in fact wrecked it.
