So we are moving into our new place tomorrow (yay, no more hotels!) and I called to set up cable and internet and they won't because the guy who owns the house still has it set up. He has to call and cancel first.
Well he's out of the country and a management company is handling the house. So they say "just use the line he has and when he comes back he can take care of it."
Great. I don't know what kind of internet he has but he follows it up with "he only pays $10 a month so it's not a big deal to him."
Awesome. So no TV, apparently, definitely no dvr, and probably speeds worse than dial up. That's balls. And we missed an awesome deal with top of the line everything for $99 a month too.
Can't you ask for his account info through the management company, & upgrade it yourself? Upgrade rates might be better, and if you have his account info, you can change the billing card, name, etc
No they said it had to be him and the management company isn't helpful. I may go through his garbage and see if I can find an old bill and Evol can be asad alfdullah for a day.

Darn. When I sent checks out to people on Christmas, they actually (in the last few days) cashed them. Kinda thought they'd just display it on their mantle. (sigh). Wishful thinking. At least it'll make their wedding better. Fingers crossed it's not a Red Wedding...

As long as they don't invite any of the Frey family I think it will be ok....

People who say "faults" when they're trying to say false. Also, when people say "Fort-zuh" when talking about Forza video games.

Having to turn down 24 hours of overtime because it's my b-day weekend and I already have plans that have been locked in for a while.... Fuck. This was my first OT offer in the ~3 years I've been here. That would've been like ~500 bucks.
Also, that's how Fortza is pronounced.

The kids saw an episode of Bob's Burgers last weekend and now the little one insists my name is Moo-lissa, and that I moo when I talk. This disrespect. At 4 years old. Ugh.

What grinds my gears - Button mashers. Rise of the Gaurdians is an easy button masher. I used to be able to play these type of games for hours! Now, after about an hour, my hands hurt. This sucks.

The New England accent - 'kah' for car. They don't pronounce the 'r' in many words. It drives me crazy.
I don't know where it came from, but the people that say 'warsh' for wash. WTF?

I think it's more like the Boston accent rather than New England. I live about 30 mins from Boston and no one really has accents. Pretty much the same when I go to the other states around here as well. I know what you mean though. Those southie accents take some getting used to.

A fair amount of accents make a normal person more attractive (at least in my opinion), but it's all in how the accent makes them perceived, intellectually. An English cockney, or that New England Bostonian, or a Brooklyn accent, makes you sound dumber (less attractive), whereas a typical Austrian, Parisian, or Russian accent raises a few notches of mystery. I personally don't have an accent, but I'm from northern New Jersey. We tend to mumble our words, & have bigger egos than our bodies can cash.

People who pronounce the s in Illinois. Or add an s to a store name like it's possessive- "I need to get some milk at Jewels." Or who say (and especially write) anyways. Ugh.
