This must be a very common thing because it seems to happen to me at all my jobs regardless of where I work. We need a bonus for this...as in their check or a fraction of it for their laziness lol
Yes, this is common and it sucks. Hard.
Think about being the owner - he has to pay those people. I am sure he knows that those people are a bunch of lazy bastards.

Well, if employers would pay decent enough wages that they attracted higher quality workers, became picky about who they hired in the first place, and then treated their employees with respect, then people who went above and beyond the call would be in a far better work force.

No doubt about it. Between insurance, workman's comp and taxes, employers pay almost twice what they pay their employees get paid to some other service so most businesses try to keep their overhead down by looking to the lower waged workers.
If the government would cut back on taxes (HA!!!), clear out some of the red tape associated with being a business owner and insurance would lower their premiums, then, yes, employers could begin looking toward the higher skilled and higher paid workers to provide the service within their respective industry.
But that ain't NEVER gonna happen.

For some reason, my ATM/Debit card that I use for most of my online accounts if messed up. Netflix and iTunes both keep giving me an error message saying my 3 digit security code is invalid when I try to update my card info. It's bullshit because I know I'm entering the right digits. I've checked my account online and there's no fraudulent charges and my card works when making any other purchase online. I just paid for something on amazon not ten minutes ago with it and there was no problem. Sucks cause I have to wait until Monday to get a hold of someone at my bank about it.

my wife just had me buy my 11 year old son a pair of Tritton AX180's. He wanted Turtle Beaches for Christmas, and I have heard here and from local friends that Tritton's are better. I even bought Best Buy's $5 Gaming magazine, so I could use the $20 coupon inside it for the headset.
Now for the part that grinds my gears;
I have wanted a pair of these for over a year and have been told every god damn time that they are too expensive......
But apparently not too expensive for our 11 year old son....
Ouch

Just tell him he has to leave them in your living room at night "so we know they won't get broken because the last thing we want is for you to fall asleep with them on and roll over on them and break them while your asleep" and then you can use em all you want while he's in bed.
