Looks like they haven't banned it or something . It'll let me sign in on xbox.com. I can sign in on my console currently lol I can't access the xbox store or anything when I sign in but i dont get the error. tried using a 48 hour code to play a multiplayer game and it didnt work so i guess they only restricted my access or something? lol idk what they are doing either that or my full ban hasnt gone through for some reason

My guess would be since they don't give you a concrete reason they're banning you, they'll bump you down to silver without the possibility of ever going gold, using the marketplace or anything like that. You'll probably still be able to sign into live (possibly use Netflix), get achievements and have your gamerscore updated. That's probably the ONLY thing you'll be able to do. No parties, private chat, messages or anything of that nature.
I also think they'd have to start banning people this way because of Windows Phones. If they perma-banned you, you wouldn't be able to buy games on those, or even use the XBL option. So this may be a friendlier ban process compared to what it used to be like.
You'd have to try and see if you can access your friend's list, messages, party chat and so on and let us know. Again, sorry it happened
