edit: My gears are grinding cause my 360 will not read my copy of NCAA Football 12. Every time I put the damn disc in it says "Reading" for a few seconds and then "Open Tray". WTF?!
I got it used from GameStop a couple weeks ago but didn't get around to popping it in until tonight and I don't know what happened to the receipt.

I was going to spend the American giftcards on the American website (since I can't spend them in store here) and have whatever shipped to a friend of mine, to ship to me. But then I realized they have all those digital codes, so I bought one mappack to make sure it would work on my Canadian account. It did, so I went to buy the other two (Blackops DLC) and that order got caught up, then eventually cancelled.

I got it used from GameStop a couple weeks ago but didn't get around to popping it in until tonight and I don't know what happened to the receipt. That same thing has been happening with my kid's xbox, it wont play any used games we get at gamestop, but they play just fine on my slim.

No. This is the first game to do this to me. I put Portal 2 in and it read it just fine.

Irish, that happened to Brie's first console, t would only error on some games. In the end, it completely errored on every disc put in, and I had to open it up and physically move the laser because it was off track slightly. Even now, the console only plays discs when it is laying horizontal. Vertical won't work. Check that out if you can't get it to work.

Thanks for the pointers guys but I'm pretty damn sure it was just something about that disc. I've always had my 360 lying horizontally and that's why I think it's lasted me damn near four years without any problems. *knocks on wood* I didn't want to but I took that copy of NCAA 12 (along with my copy of LA Noire) and traded em in on the new Madden and ever since GameStop bought out EB Games, we've had two GameStops at our local mall so I went down to the other store and got a new copy of NCAA. Got home and it works just fine.
I thought it was a little funny that I found that used copy when I did a few weeks ago cause I've never found one used that soon at these GameStops the last few years. One of their employees even told me last year that they don't put used copies on the shelves until 30 days after they've been traded in. I'm wondering if whoever bought it new had trouble with it too and traded it in. Either that or it's a conspiracy perpetrated on the part of EA to screw over consumers buying used copies. I just hope the next person who buys it used checks it out within a week of buying it and doesn't throw away the receipt like I did.
Oh and yeah AJ, I did mean compressed air jackass.
