I'd never go there either. 1) Bro code, 2) Sloppy seconds 3) If she would actually date any of my friends, she must be damaged goods.
Actually these are very good reasons.

I'd never date a friend's ex... Because I've been the friend in that situation. Except that my friend didn't ask first. Oh, and he wasn't my ex yet... But still.
I'd never go there either. 1) Bro code, 2) Sloppy seconds 3) If she would actually date any of my friends, she must be damaged goods.
1) bro code states that as long as you discuss it first and it's cool--it's cool. does not violate bros before hos.
2) the double standard of whores=bad but studs=good is dark ages mentality. welcome to 2013
3) if you have such shitty friends you might need to do some heavy introspection

Normally I despise fast food and Whataburger in particular, but this morning I was craving something warm and greasy, and this particular Whataburger was on my way home.
When I got to the pay window, the lady said "your money's no good here!" with a huge smile. It turns out, the person in front of me had already paid for my sandwich. I thought this was pretty damn cool--I've never done this for fast food but I have done it on the tollway a few times, giving a few bucks instead of 50 cents and telling them to pay the next few cars.
Today is my pay day anyway so I asked the lady if I could pay for the people behind me. She said yeah and did it, then asked me to pull forward cause they had to cook my burger.
So it turns out not only did I get a fresh, delicious hamburger that was surprisingly good, I also got some weird universal karma jizz all over me. As I was sitting there waiting for my sandwich, the car behind me pulled beside me and the driver gave me a huge grin and a wave.

I fully endorse paying it forward. There is enough selfishness in the world. I love that you just didn't take the free eats and bolt.
Edit: In the same spirit I paid for the old lady behind me in Subway this morning. I wonder if she did something nice for someone else as a result.

Thanks everyone for the Happy Birthday filled shoutbox! Especially those who did it ironically knowing that I'm old as hell and I really don't enjoy birthdays anymore...either way thanks guys.
