I just hook my surround sound to my TV... is there a difference?

I like it, It is pretty useless to hook them both from the 360 into your television, but it was a pretty easy, cheap fix to me wanting to hear the bombs bust through the speakers and rattle through the subwoofer!....
But to be honest, I don't really see a big difference between this console and the older ones, other then the design of it, and the "beep boop" when you turn it on, lol....The only reason I got it was I only paid $15 bucks out of pocket for the console

@Kroberts, yeah gift cards count, I took back my PS3, but a part of me regrets it because I wasn't thinking about that being the only thing in the house that plays DVD-RW's, lol....and I downloaded One Tree Hill Season 3 so my wife can watch it and not bother me while I play the 360....*sighs* oh well, lol

do you guys know why they keep saying its "ready for kinect" does that mean that the original 360 will have problems with kinect? (dosnt really mattter to me, kinect dosnt interest me.)

With the new xbox, there is a power port to plug Kinect into, whereas with the old xbox, you have to find an open outlet for it. Nothing special.

ACTUALLY there is a "specialized" port for kinect on the new 360 on the back, whereas on the old consoles your going to have to buy an additional adapter for kinect to work on an older 360 model---that is if you plan on purchasing it come November.
