There's nothing on the Gears site or Epic site about an xp weekend coming up. I'm also eager to re-up to red, got a long way to go, but whoring Onyx medals is boosting me up pretty fast.

......I think I should probably go ahead and get one of those sexy medals too, I mean I'm just sayin'....

Me & the roommates have taken to running 6 rounds of Execution real quick against Insane bots, trying to skunk them 6-0, just to stay sharp without having to battle latency issues or waiting 3857346 minutes to set up a Ranked.

.....it usually devolves in to some disrespectful Wingman matches where we do meatshield executions and just drop each other real fast :no:

Finally got my Embry Star tonight as well as finished all the Horde onyx. Played 340 waves of horde today....never gonna play it again.

My k/d is 1.7 but that is including offline/bot matches.

I'm glad they kept up the "We're All Stranded Now" playlist, that shit is fun. Having people not in parties/not talking lets you just flow as a team with people doing what they know they're supposed to be doing--it makes it real obvious who is a lone wolf Rambo and who is actually playing to win as a team.

It's very satisfying to single out the wall-bouncing Gnasher kiddies, gun them down with the help of a teammate, then execute them and laugh as they leave the match.

I really wish we had a better internet connection here so me and both my roommates could all play online at the same time. We can do it in Ranked on dedicated servers but it takes forever to set up a match since we already have 3 people, and then we can't do voice chat with the other 2 that join cause we don't have the bandwidth.

Anyway, I hope Epic doesn't just drop support for Gears after the last map pack comes out this month. I would really like to see them add some content for Beast mode, and maybe even another Raam's Shadow-like DLC of campaign and Arcade mode stuff.

@ Meta: Yeah my "Overall" k/d is like 1.7 as well if you factor in private. It's no fair fighting bot's if your a sniper though. You can go on 30-0 runs just popping heads.

@ Snapple: I'm very potent with the torque as well. I don't ever bother with the Digger or Boomshot though. Not worth giving up my retro lancer for limited ammo or limited killing potential. We should put together a XBA squad of 5 if there are enough decent people.
