Quote by Melissa Evol:
The story was not interesting, the characters weren't likeable, the character you play as was repulsive looking, vehicle controls sucked, and the "Mature" elements were ridiculous.
I was really psyched about a next-gen GTA and bought it day 1, but once I got to spend a bit of time in it, it just wasn't very fun or engrossing, for the exact reasons she said.
RDR, so far, has been about the opposite--the story occurs towards the end of the "western era" so that makes it more interesting to me, and the characters, particularly John, kind of grab you right off the bat without getting verbose.
As others have said, the voice acting is really good too. The game's writing has some of Rockstar's biting wit and humorous cynicism, but the little bits of drama are just as good, and you don't have a fat greasy fuck yelling "BEEG AMERICAN TITTEES!" in your ear.
I haven't even been able to try the multiplayer stuff yet, but the way people talk about it, it sounds like a lot of fun. Forming a posse, raiding gang hideouts together, then getting in gunfights with other posses? Fracking awesome.

Yea, those are 2 pretty popular games right now lol. Is there anyway you can ask them when they are due back. Otherwise I guess you will just have to buy them
