Doing what??
Apprentice carpentry and construction. Working towards my Journeyperson ticket in carpentry.
If you are going union, it's gonna be a 5 year journey. If you are going independent, you will eligible to take your license testing at the 4 year mark. Which ever way you go it will well worth it in the end - congratulations!!

Thanks! Yea I went to a pre-employment carpentry program for 8 months and got my level 1 and 2 schooling out of the way. Now I just need a bunch of work hours before they will call me to go for my level 3. Either way, if I can get my hours fast enough and be eligible to go to schooling when they call, I should be able to get my journeyperson ticket by the time I'm about 24 years old. Looking forward to it =p

One last piece of advice - TOOLS!! DO NOT SKIMP!! Before you buy any tools, ask the guys that you are working with (get several opinions) about different brands and types of tools. Do not depend on the sales people to give you advice - they are looking for a sale, not your interests. Never go with the low end tools - they NEVER last, often inaccurate and always screw up your work.

preaching to the choir there man, I've used my fair share of tools and I know that "you get what you paid for" is very true when it comes to anything that has to do with work. But thanks for the advice.

I'm surprised nobody has started the "who are you going to vote for" thread yet. I could just see that turning to shit.

Every time I see this trailer for Sinister, I shout "Oh my god! You're Ethan Hawke!" when the kid crawls out of the box.

I like to avoid politics whenever possible and I really hate it when politics invades gaming. ![:(](https://xboxamerica.com/imgs/smilies/old-squares/sad.gif)

When anyone asks me if I'm either Republican or Democratic, I simply reply that I'm Jedi.
